Macey Style

For as long as I can remember, Macey has had an opinion about what she wants to wear.  It used to make me cringe as I would see the outfits she would put on.  Often times I would tell her to change, but that would create so much drama.  Crying, fighting....it totally wasn't worth it.

So, I stopped trying to dictate what Macey wore and let her go at it. I wish I took a picture of her everyday to show some of the outfits she comes up with.  

I still have to bite my tongue at times.

Macey gets her ears pierced

This cutie got her ears pierced a few weeks ago.  She was so excited, but very nervous.

No tears!  She loves the earrings she picked out.  It's actually her birthday month's birth stone.

Christmas Eve and Christmas morning

Christmas Eve we had our friends the White's over as well as the Neilson's over.  We are thankful for friends to share the holidays with!  We ate lots of yummy food, had a white elephant gift exchange, and played Santa Bingo. Sorry I was too busy to remember to take pictures!

After our friends left we opened Christmas jammies, read Polar Express and sent the kids to bed.  When I shut the door to Loraya and Isaac's room they both squealed in delight at their excitement for the next morning.  I love these ages of my kids!

Christmas morning started at 7AM.  I told my kids they weren't allowed to wake anyone up any earlier.  Santa brought Isaac and Loraya a Kindle.  He brought Macey the Equestrian Girl dolls she had been wanting!  

Christmas day was spent playing new video games, reading new books and watching new movies.  It was a relaxing day with our little family.

Adventures in parenting #531. 


Macey went potty before we left to wait in the after school pickup line, but of course had to go again once we had been waiting a few minutes. 

This time #2. Oh joy. 

Totally had Macey poop in the Tupperware box in the car. 

Pretty funny actually. Sheesh.

I told Loraya and Isaac the whole story when they got into the car.  I'm actually surprised they didn't comment on the smell once they got in.  We all got a good laugh at Macey's expense.  

Macey's birthday celebrations

The day started nice and early on her birthday.  6AM is not the norm, but I guess she was excited to start celebrating!

We told Macey she could open one present in the morning.

She was excited to get these My Little Ponies.  I think she has about every single one now.

Fairies later on after Loraya and Isaac finally got home from school!  That is a long wait for anyone.

She requested meatballs for dinner.  She must have eaten at least 7-10 meatballs! 

Got to go watch her older sister play soccer.  And in case you wanted to know, Isaac wore those glasses the entire time at the soccer fields.

Happy Birthday Macey Lou

Macey is 4 today.  

A little about my Macey on her birthday.

Macey has a huge imagination, I love watching her play.
She loves music and is very opinionated about what music is playing in the car.
You will rarely find Macey in jeans or any type of pants...unless it's leggings underneath a skirt.
She won't sit still longer then 3 seconds, 5 if you're lucky.
Macey loves people and making friends.  If we go to the park, usually it is only a matter of minutes before she has made friends with someone like they've been BFFs for years.
She is frightened of faces on balloons, thunder, fireworks and various other loud noises.

Life is sweeter with this little sweetie.
