Through sickness and in health
I have been obsessed with this. West Virginia is forcasted to receive 2 feet of snow. We shall see. So far I just see rain and high wind advisory starting tonight. Looks like a good week to stay at home.
Jacob has really happy about this. It was fun cheering for a winning team I must say. Sports once in a while can lead to happiness.
Macey and I both got hit with the stomach flu last week. Bleh. It was a tender mercy that we were the ONLY ones that got sick. It's been a tough few months for trying to stay healthy in our house.
I feel horrible about Mom getting sick while she was here visiting. What a fun souvenirs to bring home...cough, congestion, and little to no sleep. Hope you are feeling better Mom!! Sure miss you here. Morgantown is just too far away from everyone!
Life moves on.
I was blessed to feel better Friday morning and still go into Isaac's classroom. I go there every Friday morning to help his teacher out with whatever needs doing. I'm not thrilled with his teacher this year so this is my way of coping with the situation. Isaac loves having me there and I am happy to be there. What do you do when you dislike the teacher your child has??
These people aparently LOVE Halloween I guess. Macey didn't want anything to do with this house. Way too scary and when we drove by it a second time she closed her eyes and told us she was going to take a nap. Loraya had a birthday party Friday night. Jacob, Isaac, Macey and I went and got pizza.
Saturday the kids had their final soccer games of the season. Both kids improved so much and I was hopeful of Isaac in his last game. He seemed to be trying to go after the ball more and aware with what was going on around him. He is the one in the yellow socks.
Here the kids are celebrating their soccer season. Saturday night we went to our friend's house for a Halloween Party. Every year they do a family Halloween movie and then do a movie premier at their house. I didn't take any pictures, but there was great food and great company. We sure love our friends here in Morgantown!
Sunday was the Primary Program. Loraya had 2 speaking parts plus a singing part with 2 other girls. She did such a great job! Isaac also memorized his part and knew it like the back of his hand. I was equally impressed that Isaac actually sang each and every word to every primary song! I have heard these primary songs ten thousand times, but was moved to tears during the program. Everyone did such a great job and I was really proud of all those sweet kiddos.
Tomorrow we are all staying home. School has been cancelled. Looks like I have some baking to do.

Happy birthday to me?
Fall is most definitely here in Morgantown. Love.
It was another crazy, busy week. But that just seems to be the norm nowadays and I can't seem to slow down.
I did enjoy a walk in the rain this week with this little cutie. We had some books to return to the library. Got out the umbrella and enjoyed a walk downtown with Macey chattering away by myside. Perfect. The leaves are starting to turn bright reds, vibrant golds and lovely orange colors. Beautiful. I'll be sure to do my best to capture a few pictures this week.
I love these colorfully pained garage doors. We had to stop and take a picture. Crazy.
A sure sign of fall, and another event we enjoy each September is the WVU Homecoming parade.
Getting ready for the parade to begin. Loraya has her candy bag ready! I spy Sonora and Jacob in the background as well. Fun.
Our school mascot is actually one of those Mormons. A pretty cool article written in the church news here. Go 'Eers!
Although long, we had to stay to the end to see the WVU marching band! Worth it!
You know how sometimes you meet someone and just feel an immediate connection? The moment I met my neighbor down the street, I knew we would be great friends! She is wonderful and it was her birthday on Saturday. I for a time got confused and thought maybe it was my birthday with all the spoiling going on. Day went as follows:
11:30 surprise Merysa! Hop in the car and go to Spa Roma. (fully paid for all of us by her husband!)
12:00 Hour long massage!
12:15 Hang out in sauna
12:45 Pedicures!
2:00 Manicures!
3:00 Panera...all that pampering ....we were quite hungry!
Such a fun girls day! Stopped at TJ Maxx before heading home.
I have to give a HUGE shout out to my husband too.
Not only hung out with the kids all day...drove over an hour and took them to Chuck E Cheese! THAT is a wonderful husband! MMMwah!

Hayride and good friends
It was a great weekend.
No stress.
No soccer games.
No birthday parties.
Just a great weekend with wonderful friends.
Only downer was Macey. Jacob left early to take her home and put her to bed. She was actually begging to go to sleep, which doesn't happen everyday!
Wide open spaces. Room to run and run and run some more. So much to explore and discover. Good times.
My friend Alicia drove from Philly to spend the weekend with us! So excited to see her and her cute kiddos again. I have missed her so much since they have moved and am so glad that they are close enough to drive out to see us.
Saturday was WVU football game. Which means no soccer games. It also means you don't try and drive anywhere before or after the game. The kids had fun riding their bikes, playing video games, coloring pictures and just hanging out at home. This is a rarity on a Saturday, I loved it! It was nice to have some good girl talk while the kids played.
That evening we went over to the Curtis's house for a pizza party. Once again the kids had so much fun together.
After the pizza party the Moms went out for some time without kids. Jacob watched all 6 of the kids! Love that guy!
Sunday morning I said goodbye to Alicia, I'm feeling sad today.
But, on the plus side...
Fall is here!
Excited to get outside today and enjoy the autumn air.
