Tubes in and Adnoids out

Our day started at 5AM this morning. Macey was in good spirits, but a little confused why we were out and about so early. I felt very calm all morning, thanks to everyone's prayers and the comfort of the Holy Ghost.

Here is Macey in the waiting room. We read books and sang songs to pass the time.

The nurses just went crazy over Macey. They loved her 'blinged' out paci, and I directed them to my talented SIL's esty shop. Before the took her away to be prepped for surgery they have her some medicine that made her very relaxed and didn't even seem to mind to go away with a crew of strangers to a strange place.

Coming out of the anesthesia was tough. Macey is a strong little girl and was very angry, couldn't be comforted, and trashing around and crying. The nurses finally gave her a few doses of morphine, which knocked her out. When she woke up the second time she was as sweet as can be and happy just to cuddle and sit on my lap.

She's not allowed anything red to eat or drink for the next week. In case Macey throws up, they want to know if she's throwing up blood and not just fruit punch.

She's doing great, and been sleeping since we got home from the hospital (as have I!!) Thank you everyone for your love and prayers.

Here's to a more healthy and happy Lou Lou.
